ARK News... Despite the violations taking place in the region, the latest of which was the martyrdom of the lawyer, Luqman Hanan, under torture, the campaign for the return of displaced persons and refugees of Afrin to their city and villages continues, the last of which is the return of a Kurdish family to Shiye town, according to a source he told ARK today Thursday, January 29, 2022.

An informed source told ARK: The violations and clashes, which have become almost daily, are not an obstacle to the return of the displaced, and refugees of the city of Afrin from the al-Shahba camps and the neighborhoods of Aleppo, as well as from Lebanon and Turkey. Every period witnesses the return of Kurdish families to their hometowns.

The source added: A number of Kurdish families have returned to their hometowns in the Shiye, Rajo, and the villages of other towns.

For his part, a source from Rajo town said that the city hosted dozens of Kurdish families during the past month, as they returned to their hometown in the town of Rajo and its villages.

The source who reported from Raj town to ARK confirmed that the families returned from the Kurdistan Region, the al-Shahba camps, and the areas of refuge and displacement.

During the Afrin war in 2018 between Turkey and the PYD administration, more than 300,000 Kurds were displaced from the Afrin region towards al-Shahba, Aleppo, and other regions, and despite the fact that the PYD and the armed factions put obstacles in front of the return of the displaced in al-Shahba camps, the Kurdish families continuing to return to the land of our forefathers.
