ARK News... A leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria revealed that the Semalka crossing was opened at the request of the Kurdish National Council in Syria in 2013, and now PYD is exploiting it in its interest and using it as a pressure card against the National Council.

During his participation in the ARK newsletter, Nafie Bero, a member of the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, said that the PKK and its affiliates, since the first day of the opening of the Semalka crossing, have worked to fully control the crossing.

Nafie Bero confirmed that the council's goal in requesting the opening of the Semalka crossing in 2013 was to deliver humanitarian and medical aid to Syrian Kurdistan, and also the goal was for politicians to attend international conferences, which is the most important point for Syrian Kurdistan, which oppresses the PKK and its affiliates.

Bero added that preventing the PYD from crossing the leadership of the Kurdish National Council into the Kurdistan Region is to create pressure on the Kurdish National Council and the Kurdistan Region.

The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria confirmed that the PYD, with its authoritarian policy that it imposes on the Semalka crossing, is working to strangle Syrian Kurdistan politically and to keep it away from international forums on the Syrian situation.
