A statement about the killing of lawyer Luqman Hanan under torture in the city of Afrin
ARK News… A Turkish security agency kidnapped the lawyer Luqman Hamid Hanan (45 years old) in front of his house in the Mahmuodiya neighborhood in Afrin city, following rumors from the Sultan Murad group, on December 20, 2022. Two days after the arrest, his family was informed of his death and his body was handed over to the military hospital, where signs were found on his body of brutal torture, which confirms that he died under torture.
The Kurdish National Council condemns in the strongest term this heinous crime and calls on the Turkish side to work to uncover its circumstances and hold the perpetrators accountable.
To put an end to these crimes committed by the armed groups that control the region in order to blackmail and intimidate the people and seize their property and push them to emigrate.
