Marwan Eidi: Russia cannot pressure Turkey to stay away from the ground military operation

ARK News... A leader in the Kurdistan Yekiti Party - Syria revealed that the Russian position regarding standing up to the Turkish military operation in the areas under the control of the SDF is very weak, and America is the one who stopped the military operation so far.

During his participation in the Ark newsletter, Marwan Eidi, a member of the Political Committee of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party - Syria, said that the American position is clear and explicit regarding the Turkish ground military operation, and it always affirms that it is against any Turkish ground military operation in northern Syria.

Marwan Eidi added: Despite Russia's continuous moves to stop the Turkish ground military operation in northern Syria, its position remains the weakest compared to the American position rejecting any Turkish ground military intervention in northern Syria.

A member of the political committee of the Kurdistan-Syria Yekiti Party confirmed: Because of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and Russia's preoccupation with its internal problems, it is unable to pressure Turkey to move away from the military operation, and all that Russia can do at the present time is mediation between Turkey and the SDF.
