The Syrian National Coalition expresses its support for the ongoing popular uprising in the As-Suwaidaa Governorate against the Assad regime and its policy that has led to the deterioration of the living situation in the governorate and all Syrian regions, as it surrendered the country's resources to the occupations that it brought to kill and oppress the Syrian people.

The calls of the people demanding the overthrow of the Assad regime, despite the dangers of the brutal security services that surround them, and which intervened directly to suppress the protests, show the Syrian people's desire for freedom and salvation from the criminal regime, and confirm that the Assad regime is illegitimate and does not represent the Syrians.

The National Coalition calls on the international community not to ignore the popular protests in As-Suwaidaa, to stop procrastination and indolence with regard to the Syrian file, to seek decisively and seriously to achieve a political transition in accordance with international resolutions, to stop the tragedy of the Syrian people and to achieve their aspirations to build a state of freedom and dignity away from the Assad regime and its symbols.
