ARK News... The Peshmerga Chief of Staff in the Kurdistan Regional Government issued a statement to the public, in which it clarified, a misleading campaign carried out by the media of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, against the Peshmerga forces in the Kurdistan Region.

The Ministry of Peshmerga said during the statement, "A few days ago, the media affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party launched a misleading campaign against the Peshmerga forces of Kurdistan, claiming that the Peshmerga forces in different areas of Amidi and Zab have paved the way for the Turkish army to fight against the PKK fighters."

Here we announce to all parties the following:

1. The Kurdistan Region is a constitutional and political entity and the product of the struggle and sacrifices of the Kurdish people. Since the establishment of the Kurdistan Region, the PKK has always been a source of threats and headaches for the people of the Kurdistan Region and has prevented the illegal reconstruction of hundreds of villages, and at the same time, the PKK allowed itself to change names and symbols, mountains and valleys of the Kurdistan Region are called strange, and in an inhumane and anti-environmental act, the PKK militants also mined the roads, valleys and natural forests in the Kurdistan Region, which poses a great threat to civilians, refugees, and villagers. Because of the illegal presence of PKK members on the territory of the Kurdistan Region, citizens in the border areas were forced to leave their homes.

2. The PKK does not have the ability to fight the Turkish forces and is constantly evacuating the border areas of the Kurdistan Region in favor of the Turkish forces that follow it, at a time when any field of conflict between Turkey and the PKK should have been within Turkish territory.

3. The PKK media published pictures of the vehicles of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces from afar, claiming that the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces paved the way for the Turkish forces, and although this claim is unfounded, we declare that the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces have the right to exercise their authority and duties on its territory and protect the land and people of Kurdistan. But the question is, what is the right of the PKK forces on the territory of the Kurdistan Region, and to drag the Turkish forces behind them? Why don't they go to the interior of Turkey, and create threats and headaches for the people of Kurdistan?
