Silencing a different voice is a crime
Statement of Solidarity with Hoshang Osi
Social media, and a video published by writer and journalist Hoshang Osi, circulated the news of the personal abuse directed by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) circles and a direct threat of physical liquidation.

It was followed by solidarity positions from personalities, writers, poets, and politicians expressing their discontent with the dangerous threats that once again confirm that parties are still betting on liquidating opponents, and politicians, intellectuals, and writers who disagree with them, as an effective way to impose their hegemony on the Kurdish reality.

The mentality of betraying the other intellectually and politically is reprehensible, and a culture alien to the Kurdish society, imported by “comes from the north” after leaving their main arena, to create chasms and cracks in the structure of Kurdish society, deepening differences, and striking Kurdish national unity.

We in the Council of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate - Syria and the representative office of the Syrian Kurdistan Writers Union condemn, and reject this method of dealing with intellectuals, and we declare our solidarity with fellow journalist writer Hoshang Osi, and we demand the relevant international organizations to protect journalists and carry out their duty, and to deter those hostile to free writing.
