President Nechirvan Barzani receives the German Consul

ARK News... The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, on Sunday, August 7, 2022, received the German Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Clemens Zmitner, on the occasion of the end of his duties.

During a meeting, President Nechirvan Barzani expressed his praise and appreciation for the work and efforts of the German Consul General in strengthening his country's relations with the Kurdistan Region, hoping for success in his new duties.

For his part, the German Consul General expressed his satisfaction with working in the Kurdistan Region once again expressing his thanks and gratitude for the assistance and support of the concerned authorities in the Kurdistan Region for his work and activities during his period of work in the Kurdistan Region, and he highly evaluated the role and endeavors of President Nechirvan Barzani aimed at bringing the parties together and uniting their ranks.

The relations of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with Germany, the Iraqi political process, the situation in Sinjar, and a host of other issues occupied another aspect of the meeting.
