ARK News... The headquarters of President Masoud Barzani, on Friday, announced that the fifth volume of the series of books 'Barzani and the Kurdish liberation movement' will be available to readers soon.

President Barzani's headquarters said in a statement: "The fifth volume of the series of books (Barzani and the Kurdish Liberation Movement) written by President Masoud Barzani, entitled (The Intifada, Opportunities, and Challenges), will soon be available to readers."

The book consists of 832 pages and twenty different sections and sheds light on an important stage of the struggle of the people of Kurdistan.

The statement indicated that “the book is the product of daily diaries on the life of President Barzani between 1991 and 2002 and describes the important events that occurred during the uprising and the years following the uprising in the Kurdistan Region, which moved the political, social and economic life of the people of Kurdistan in this part of Kurdistan to a more progressive stage.”

He went on to say that the book deals with “very important events such as the uprising of the people of Kurdistan, the plans of the Kurdistan Front and the Peshmerga, the liberation of the cities and towns of Kurdistan, the attack on the regime, the two-million gathering of the people of Kurdistan, the defense of the Peshmerga, and Security Council Resolution 688; After that, the regime withdrew and began negotiations with it, along with the 1992 elections, the rise of the Kurdistan Region’s regional and international position, and the expansion of achievements, friendships, and relations.”

President Masoud Barzani's book also discusses "obstacles and problems that turned into obstacles for the people of Kurdistan, as well as the siege, external interventions, the mistakes of a number of political leaders, internal fighting, conflicts, persistent regional threats, unfavorable economic conditions, and hundreds of other events and challenges."

The statement pointed out that the book contains "a number of important and historical photographs and 73 political and historical documents, and is a valuable political and historical resource for readers, researchers, and historians."
