Erbil... Leaders meet to discuss the decision to integrate refugee students, develop a mechanism for the solution and communicate it to the concerned authorities

A number of leaders of Syrian Kurdistan parties and Kurdish intellectuals in the National Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, On Thursday, July 28, 2022, discussed the decision to integrate Kurdish refugee students residing in the Kurdistan Region with government schools, and to develop a mechanism for the solution to be communicated to the concerned authorities.

After the cessation of international organizations’ support for Syrian refugees residing in the Kurdistan Region, and the issuance of the Ministry of Education’s decision to integrate refugee students for the stages (1-4) primary, a meeting was held in the National Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria in Erbil, with the attendance of:

1- Kamiran Hajo, member of the Syrian Constitutional Committee
2- Ibrahim Biro, member of the Syrian Negotiations Committee
3- Shallal Kado, representing the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces.
4- Saeed Omar, head of the National Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria in the Kurdistan Region.
5- Muhammad Shireen, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria.
6- Kawi Azizi, head of the Kurdish National Council representation in the Kurdistan Region
7- Nawaf Rashid, member of the Kurdish National Council representation
8- Ahmed Muhammad Amin, head of the Kurdistan Region branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Student and Youth Union - West.
9- Hassan Qassem, head of the Syrian Kurdistan Teachers' Union in the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, the issue of schools and students was studied and a solution mechanism was developed and discussed to be communicated to the concerned authorities.
