Nechirvan Barzani: Turkey and the PKK must stop the evils of war and aggression against the people of the Kurdistan Region
ARK News… We strongly condemn the crime of bombing on Wednesday in the Zakho area, which resulted in the fall of a number of civilian and tourist victims from different regions of Iraq, and the wounding of a number of others.
The repeated bombings and the continuation of battles and clashes between the Turkish army and PKK militants in the border areas are totally unacceptable and destabilize the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region and the international borders of Iraq, and have led to the evacuation of hundreds of villages and rural areas of the region.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, share their pain and sorrow, and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. The hospitals of the Kurdistan Region, the devices, and the concerned authorities in it provide all the necessary assistance and services to the wounded and injured.
The Turkish army and the PKK militants should stop their battles and clashes and not cause more killing and destruction in the border areas and stop the evils of war and aggression against the people of the Kurdistan Region. The Iraqi federal government must take all necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of these crimes and to prevent the security of neighboring countries from being threatened by Iraqi territory.
