Condemnation over targeting the broadcasting station of Rebaz Radio
ARK News… The broadcasting station of REBAZ News of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria media, one of the Kurdish National Council parties in Syria, ENKS, and some other stations, on Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2022, were targeted with missiles at the foot of Bekher Mountain in Zakho city in the Kurdistan Region, resulting in the occurrence and recording of material damage.
In a statement, Rebaz Radio Corporation accused the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) of targeting its headquarters in Bekher mountain, while no clarification was issued by the latter.
We in the Syrian Organization for Freedom of the Press believe that such criminal acts are completely contrary to the principles of freedom of opinion and expression.
It comes to silence the dissenting voices, and we condemn the targeting of Radio Rebaz broadcasting station and other stations, and we demand the issuance of clarification from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, and that the perpetrators of the crime be brought to justice.
