Thirty-seven years since the assassination of the fighter Abdi Naasan
ARK News… on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, marked the 37th anniversary of the assassination of the fighter Abdi Naasan by the PKK in Kobani city in Syrian Kurdistan.
Who is the leader Abdi Naasan?
Born in 1947 in one of the villages of Kobani, he graduated from a Turkish university in the seventies of the last century, "Pharmacy". In 1978, he joined the ranks of the Kurdish Left Party in Syria. In 1982, he was elected as a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Workers' Party in Syria.
His star shined among the Kurdish people at all levels, as he was a defender of the cause of the Kurdish people and their legitimate rights, and he was distinguished by his good moral qualities.
He was calling for unifying the ranks of the Kurdish forces in Syrian Kurdistan and building bridges of relationship with the Arab forces opposed to the Baath Party
Abdullah Ocalan received the leader of the PKK in his home, and the PKK rewarded him by seizing his house and confiscating his property in Kobani.
The conspiracy was planned by the Syrian regime, and it was carried out by the PKK's henchmen on 11/5/1985, and Kurdish politicians are considered the first political assassination in Syrian Kurdistan.
