Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, on Wednesday, 27/10/2021, participated in the last session of the Middle East Forum organized by the "Middle East Research Institute MERI" in the capital, Erbil, under the title (A Stable Iraq for the Stable Middle East) and lasted for two days.

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government spoke about the latest developments in the Iraqi and Kurdish arena, especially the post-parliamentary elections.

On the presence of PKK militants in the Kurdistan Region, and the damage that the conflict between this party and Turkey causes to the residents of the region, Masrour Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, said: The PKK wants to be an alternative to the official constitutional institutions in the region, and seeks to impose itself on the residents of some areas by force.

The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government pointed out that 800 villages have not been reconstructed due to the conflict between Turkey and the PKK.

Masrour Barzani stressed that the Kurdistan Region does not want the conflict between the two parties to continue in the Kurdistan Region, and the PKK should evacuate the areas in which it is present in the Kurdistan Region, and Turkey should also withdraw from those areas.

On the Shingal agreement, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government said: Unfortunately, the agreement has not been implemented, and all illegal forces must withdraw from Shingal, and the people of Shingal should take care of their security themselves.

The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government stressed that the PKK and the rest of the outlaw groups that imposed their control on Shingal must withdraw from it.

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government asked about the presence of the PKK in Shingal, saying: What is the PKK doing in Shingal? And the next Iraqi government must implement the Shingal Agreement.
