PYD mines that block the way for the return of Afrin's displaced, kill Kurdish children in al-Shahba camps
ARK News... A Syrian Kurdish human rights organization confirmed, on Monday, that PYD mines are exploding on Kurdish citizens in the al-Shahba area in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that, on Sunday afternoon, 17/10/2021, a landmine planted by PYD administration officials exploded in the vicinity of Tal Sosin village, al-Shahba area, injuring 4 Kurdish children who were taken to Avrin Hospital in Fafin town to receive treatment, and children are:
-Diyar Muhammad Abdo, 15 years old
-Ishaq Ibrahim Tari, 14 years old
- Sarhad Muhammad Tari, 13 years old
- Nabo Arabo Arabo 13 years old
The organization pointed to the explosion of another landmine planted in the village of Zayrate of Sherawa area in Afrin countryside, which led to the loss of the child, Hanan Murad Ahmed, and the injury of Renas Abdul Qadir Ahmed and Youssef Bozan Mohammed, with varying injuries.
According to the organization, the PYD militants have surrounded the camps housing the displaced people of Afrin in the al-Shahba area with anti-personnel mines so that they would not return to their homes in Afrin, which has resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of Kurdish citizens since 2018.
