The United Nations publishes a questionnaire on the phenomenon of child recruitment within the ranks of the QSD

ARK News… The United Nations published a questionnaire on the phenomenon of child recruitment within the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD), in which five questions were asked with boxes to answer the questions, and the questions are:

- Do you think that the phenomenon of the recruitment of minors continues in the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces?

-Do you think that the SDF has complied with its pledges to stop the recruitment of minors and to demobilize those within its ranks?

-What drives the Syrian Democratic Forces to recruit minors into its ranks?

-To what extent has the phenomenon of underage recruitment raises the fears of parents and threatens the future of their children?

-To stop the phenomenon and prevent the recruitment of more minors?

In the questionnaire, the United Nations said that the United Nations announced that it had signed an action plan with the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) to end and prevent the recruitment of children into its ranks.

The questionnaire stated: According to the United Nations, in a statement, Monday, July 1, 2019, the action plan includes the demobilization and separation of boys and girls currently recruited from the forces, in addition to preventing and ending the recruitment of children under the age of 18.

The United Nations added in its questionnaire: The plan was signed on behalf of the SDF by its Commander-in-Chief, Mazloum Abdi, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Virginia Gamba, at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.

In the questionnaire, it stated: Human rights and media reports in this regard speak of the continuation of the phenomenon of underage recruitment in favor of the SDF, and that the Revolutionary Youth Organization "Joanne Shorshakar" is responsible for executing these recruitment operations.
