The Kurdistan Democratic Party sweeps the election results and gets 32 parliamentary seats so far
ARK News... According to the official preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Iraq, on Monday, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, led by President Masoud Barzani, obtained 32 parliamentary seats.
According to these results, the KDP won 11 seats in the capital, Erbil, 9 seats in Duhok, 9 seats in Nineveh, 2 seats in Kirkuk, and 2 seats in Sulaimaniyah.
The party is also expected to obtain seats in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the rest of the Iraqi provinces, where the party has candidates in Diyala, Waset, Anbar, and Karbala as well.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party ran in the early Iraqi legislative elections through 51 candidates distributed over 31 electoral districts.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party's candidates won in Kirkuk, although the party does not have headquarters in this city since the events of October 16, 2017, when the party's organizations withdrew from it, as well as in Shingal (Sinjar) and Nineveh, where its candidates won.
