An official holiday for three days in the Kurdistan Region
ARK News… The Kurdistan Regional Government announced the suspension of official working hours in all schools of the region for three days, during the Iraqi legislative elections, to be held on the tenth of next October.
The Minister of Education, Alan Hama Saeed, said in a press conference on Monday, held in Erbil, that working hours in schools and educational centers will be suspended on the 9th, 10th and 11th of next October in all regions of the Kurdistan Region.
According to Hama Saeed, all schools and educational centers will be handed over to the Independent High Electoral Commission before the elections.
He stressed that the Ministry of Education will take over the schools again on the next day to reorganize them to prepare them for the teaching process.
It is scheduled to hold early legislative elections on the tenth of next October in all governorates of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
