ARK News… President Masoud Barzani and the new French ambassador to Iraq Eric Chevalier Sunday stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two parties.
During the meeting, which was attended by the French Consul in Erbil, Olivier Deconte, President Barzani wished the new ambassador success in his missions.
The two sides emphasized the historical relations that unite the people of Kurdistan and the French people while stressing the importance of strengthening and developing bilateral relations.
The two sides discussed the Iraqi elections to be held next month while expressing their hope that the results of the legislative elections will reflect the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation in Sinjar and the necessity of normalization in it, and the return of the displaced to their areas.
