Statement on the ENKS Presidency's meeting with the US Assistant Secretary of State

ARK News... At the invitation of the American side, the presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on September 7, 2021, held a meeting with the US Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. Joey Hood, and officials on the Syrian file through closed-circuit television. Where he stressed the commitment of the United States of America to a political solution to the existing crisis in the country in accordance with Resolution 2254, support for negotiations between the Kurdish National Council and the Kurdish National Unity Parties, and work to address the obstacles that stand in front of it and stop the violations that occur against the Kurdish Council. In turn, the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council expressed the council's readiness to cooperate in this field and the importance and necessity of achieving the unity of the Kurdish position, and praised the attention and follow-up given by the United States of America in this field. In conclusion, the US Assistant Secretary of State expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and stressed its continuation in the future and that the US ambassador will continue to work in this context.
