An upcoming visit of a high-ranking delegation from the European Union to Erbil
A high-ranking delegation from the European Union is scheduled to arrive in Erbil on Tuesday on an official visit to meet with senior officials in the Kurdistan Region.
Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to the Union, Dilawar Azhgi, said that the delegation will be headed by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell, and will meet with senior officials in the Kurdistan Region.
On Monday, Borrell arrived in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, to hold talks with federal government officials.
The visit of the high-ranking European official comes on the eve of the Iraqi legislative elections scheduled to be held on the tenth of next October.
