A statement from the Peace and Freedom Front about the crimes of the Assad regime against Daraa

ARK News… The Peace and Freedom Front, on Monday, September 6, 2021, appealed to international organizations and institutions, Arab governments, and the active countries in the international community, especially (the United States, Russia, and the European Union), to take immediate action in order to deter the regime and its sponsors from continuing their ongoing crimes against the people of Daraa. ARK has received a copy of the statement that reads:

We in the Peace and Freedom Front have followed over the past few days the developments of the human tragedy and the systematic crimes practiced by the Assad regime against the people of Daraa.

We in the Front strongly condemn the Assad regime's resumption of the bombing of Daraa, which resulted in the killing of many and the displacement of thousands, and we denounce in the strongest terms this unjust siege, which is a crime against humanity that more than 10,000 civilians from Daraa are exposed to, amid deprivation of medicines and children milk.. in the midst of a dubious international and regional impotence, we also reject the policy of forced displacement that the Assad regime uses to pressure civilians in Daraa al-Balad, and we demand the lifting of the siege on the people inside the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad and the delivery of humanitarian aid provided through the United Nations.

The Front believes that the negotiations failed because of the Assad regime, which is getting more complicated with the regime's refusal to make any concessions, as it still insists on subjugating the neighborhoods of Daraa residents in peace with an agreement according to its terms or waging a fierce war during the storming of these neighborhoods, and the extermination of thousands of civilians during massive reprisals.

The Front calls upon international organizations and institutions, Arab governments, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Arab League, and the active states in the international community, especially (the United States, Russia, and the European Union), to take immediate action in order to deter the regime and its sponsors from continuing their ongoing crimes against the people of Daraa, and the need to move quickly, and to stop the war of extermination perpetrated by the "Syrian regime" against its defenseless people, to end the unjust siege, and to allow the entry of urgent humanitarian aid.

The Front appeals to Arab and friendly countries to extend a helping hand and relief to the afflicted, to play the role of international mediation and diplomacy, and to mobilize an urgent international position to spare the blood of the people of Daraa.

The Front warns against being deceived by the allegations made by the regime about the existence of an agreement with Turkey to displace the people of Daraa, it is a baseless statement, and our people in Daraa have more than told their lies, deceit, and treachery.

The Front commends the steadfastness, magnanimity, and heroism of our people in Hauran, their solidarity, cooperation, and insistence on remaining in their land, and considers that any new project to displace and expel any Syrian citizen from his land and home is a crime against humanity to be added to the long list of crimes of the criminal regime and its sponsors, and its perpetrators must be held accountable.
