A local source said today, August 11, 2021: that 160 Kurdish families have returned from the Shahba camps in the countryside of Aleppo, since the blessed Eid al-Adha until today.

The local sources from Afrin confirmed: That thirteen Kurdish families returned two days ago from the Shahba camps to their towns and villages in Afrin, on foot.

On August 8, Turkey released the detained Kurdish families, who were returning from the Shahba camps in the village of Kimar. In addition, 35 buses entered the center of Afrin at night, including 35 families who were detained in the village of Kimar.

The PYD has controlled the Shahba areas in the countryside of Aleppo, implicitly in five camps for the displaced of the Afrin region since 2018, and has been working to prevent the return of the displaced to Afrin on the pretext that its militants will liberate the area.
