ARK News… One of the pillars of Kurdish art, and one of the most famous violin players, Muhammad Doman, lost on this day, August 5 of the past year 2020, from Kobani city in Syrian Kurdistan, at the age of 91.

About his life and work
Muhammad Khalil Ghazi, better known as Muhammad Doman, was born in 1929, is from Kobani city, but took refuge there after the terrorist attack of ISIS in 2014, and settled in Kurdistan Turkey, and lived there, until he was exposed to a terminal illness and departed in a Turkish hospital.

Mohamed Doman is one of the most famous and oldest violin players in the region. In addition, he sang many Kurdish folk songs. The late artist played alongside many artists and shared artworks with them, perhaps the most prominent of them was the great artist Baqi Khido. The late has many visual and audio works in which he revives Kurdish art and protects it from demise.

In a video recording posted on social media, followed by ARK, he says that he can no longer play, praying for the good of all, and, after his death, recommends that he be buried in his hometown of Kobani. The late artist, Mohamed Doman, departed at the age of 91.
