ARK News… The Syrian Center for Press Freedoms, in the Syrian Journalists Association, documented during the month of July 2021, the occurrence of 7 violations against the media in Syria, slightly higher than the violations committed during the month of June, despite the fact that the number of documented violations coincided with (7 violations).

The Center stated that, in addition to the systematic bombing by the regime and Russia, the restrictions on media freedoms by various parties were reasons for the violations documented during the month of July.

It pointed out that the Syrian regime and its Russian ally are considered the most prominent responsible for committing the most deadly violations against journalists during the past month, as the Russian forces were responsible for killing a media person in Idlib, while the regime was responsible for wounding another in Daraa.

Similar to last June, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) topped the bodies responsible for committing violations during last July, with responsibility for committing 3 violations in Hasaka, while those responsible for the last two violations were not identified in the city of Afrin, north of Aleppo.
