Akram Hussein: Mahmoud Rash's statements are not in the interest of the Syrian Kurds

Aug 04 2021

ARK News… Akram Hussein, a member of the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, said that the statements of one of the leaders of the QSD contradict the goals and principles of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and these statements are not in the interest of the Kurds of Syria.

In exclusive statements to ARK News, Akram Hussein said: "Mahmoud Rash's statements to ANHA that they will not stand idly by if the guerrillas are attacked by the Peshmerga "contradict the goals and principles of the QSD, which it declares as a Syrian national force that fights terrorism and protects the PYD administration's areas”.

He added: QSD is not a party to any conflict outside the Syrian borders, and therefore what Mahmoud Rash said is not in the interest of the Kurds of Syria or in the interest of the independence of their national decision, but rather serves the Turkish agenda that accuses QSD of "terrorism" and creates problems with neighboring countries.

Hassan pointed out: It would have been better for him to announce that he would not allow any Kurdish-Kurdish fighting to happen, and he would stand with all his might to prevent it and not happen.

Mahmoud Rash, a military leader in the Syrian Democratic Forces, QSD, said days ago in a television interview in which he openly expressed his loyalty to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), saying: They, as QSD, will not stand idly by from the events taking place in the Kurdistan Region, and they will stand with the PKK in its war against the Peshmerga forces of Kurdistan.

PKK gunmen have recently launched attacks against the Peshmerga forces in the Kurdistan Region. The gunmen attacked twice in late July, Lieutenant-General Jamal Eminki, Chief of Staff of the Peshmerga forces, said in televised statements: The PKK gunmen are exploiting the position of President Masoud Barzani, who has forbidden Kurdish-Kurdish fighting, but this does not mean that we raise the flag of surrender in the face of the attacks of the PKK gunmen, stressing: We will respond strongly if our forces are attacked by the PKK gunmen.
