The mother of the journalist Barzan Hussein suffered a stroke after he was kidnapped by the PYD's gunmen
ARK News… The family of the Kurdish journalist Barzan Layani, the correspondent of our ARK media foundation, who was kidnapped by PYD gunmen a few days ago, issued a statement to the Kurdish public opinion, calling for the immediate release of him and other kidnapped, and the rehabilitation of them and their families and the trial of those who raided their son's house and bear the state of affairs.
Statement text
To the Kurdish public opinion
To all concerned organizations and bodies with human rights
To those who issue decisions and decrees far from human rights and humanity, and under any item, under any roof and any law, the homes of safe people are raided in the middle of the night and sow terror and panic in the hearts of families.
Who is responsible for what happened? Wasn't you able to call this person as long as he is at his workplace every day and everyone knows that? He was neither escaping nor hiding.
You caused the oppression of an entire family and took away the joy of Eid for them, and did you know that Barzan Hussein's mother suffered a stroke because of your disgraceful act of fear and terror.
Here, the PYD Administration bears the consequences of this immoral and shameful behavior, and the one who issued this decision must be held accountable, and Barzan and all the detainees have to be released arbitrarily and without any guilt, but rather for their national and honorable stances, and everyone knows their devotion to their cause and their people.
Here, we appeal to people of conscience and all organizations interested in human rights, to intervene to release them and hold accountable those corrupt people who issue “arbitrary” decisions without any evidence or reason against political activists, media professionals, and intellectuals.
We demand the immediate release of the detainees, the rehabilitation of them and their families, and the trial of those who raided the homes and bearing them with what happened, and we ask here: What is the fault of this mother that she suffers a stroke..? If you can't make people happy, don't bring them sadness and sorrow.
