Kurdistan Sees All-Time High Daily Cases Amid 3rd Wave of COVID-19

The Kurdistan Region on Monday recorded the highest daily COVID-19 cases ever after 1,985 people tested positive in a single day.
The regional Health Ministry warned of a worsening situation ahead of the Eid al-Adha holidays, during which families reunite and people storm the tourist sites across the region.
A daily report on the latest updates said 19 people died over the past day and 1,032 others recovered from the disease.
This brings the total infection cases up to 205,575, from which 187,270 have so far recovered, and 4,599 have died.
The active cases tally stands at 13,706 now, the ministry said.
