Dr. Saman Barzanji: Kurdistan Region has recorded infections with the “Delta” Coronavirus

ARK News… The Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Dr. Saman Barzanji, announced that the number of infections with the Coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region is on the rise, revealing that infections with the “Delta” type of Coronavirus have been recorded in the region.

Dr. Barzanji said in a press conference held on Thursday in the capital, Erbil, after a meeting with a delegation from the World Health Organization: "The rate of infections with the Coronavirus has increased significantly in the Kurdistan Region, pointing out that the rate of reception of infected people in hospitals has doubled compared to weeks before now, and that more than 10% of those who undergo laboratory tests for the Coronavirus show positive results.

The Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government pointed out that, according to the statistics and examinations reports that we are conducting in the Ministry of Health, the Kurdistan Region has unfortunately recorded infections with the rapidly spreading mutated type Delta.
