A close source reveals to ARK News the details of the death of a hostage in PYD prisons

ARK News… Months after his arrest, the elderly Kurdish man, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, died in the Democratic Union Party (PYD) prisons in Syrian Kurdistan.

Suleiman Hussein, a member of the executive body and responsible for Kurdish relations in the Future Movement of Syrian Kurdistan said in exclusive statements to ARK News: “Today, two hours ago, we received the news of the death of our cousin Hussein Hassan Abbas in one of the PYD prisons in the city of Manbij”.

He added: Hussein Hassan Abbas is 50 years old, and he was arrested seven months ago with his family, as hostages in exchange for one of his sons surrendering himself to the administration.

He continued: Shukri Hassan Abbas was a financial official in Manbij and defected from the administration, which led to his entire family's arrest and kept them hostage in exchange for the son's surrender.

He pointed out: A week ago, Hussein Hassan Abbas' wife was released, and today we are surprised that Hussein lost his life due to a stroke, according to the PYD's allegations.

At the end of his speech, he said: The family received Hussein's body from the Manbij Military Hospital, and he was buried in his hometown in the village of Boraz of Kobani city in Syrian Kurdistan.
