Contents of President Barzani's meeting with the Norwegian Ambassador

ARK News… On June 23, 2021, President Masoud Barzani received in Salahuddin, the Norwegian Ambassador to Iraq, Mrs. Tony Allers.

During the meeting, they discussed the political situation in Iraq, the latest developments at the regional level, and the dangers and threats of terrorists in Syria and Iraq.

It also highlighted the upcoming elections in Iraq and the challenges facing the political process in Iraq.

In the same meeting, the formation of military coordination centers between the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi security forces, as well as the organization of the ranks of the Peshmerga and the reforms in the Ministry of Peshmerga were described as (positive steps).

As for the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Norway, they were another focus in the meeting in which President Barzani expressed his thanks for the effective Norwegian role in helping the displaced, contributing to charitable work, and participating in the international coalition in the war against ISIS.
