ARK News… A Kurdish girl lost her life, on Saturday, June 5, 2021, in a Turkish bombardment on the Sherawa area of Afrin city in Syrian Kurdistan, which is under the control of the PYD.

Local sources said that the 14-year-old girl, Zaynab Ibrahim Hussein, lost her life in the Turkish bombing of Kalote village in the Sherawa area on Saturday. Her 11-year-old brother Bakr was injured by the bombing, and the house was severely damaged by the bombing, according to the same sources.

After the Turkish military invasion of the Afrin region, which began on January 21, 2018, and ended after 58 days, the city of Afrin and its seven towns and villages were under the control of Turkey and the armed factions, while 12 villages in Sherawa area - Kalote village implicitly - remained under the control of the PYD, and these villages are adjacent to the Shiite towns of Nubil and Zahraa.
