Georgia expresses its appreciation for the struggle history of President Barzani and the Kurdish people
ARK News… President Masoud Barzani, on Monday, May 31, 2021, received in Salahuddin, Zaza Kandilaki, the Georgian ambassador to Iraq.
During the meeting, the Georgian ambassador to Iraq expressed his deep appreciation for the struggle history of President Barzani, and for the struggle and sacrifices of the people of Kurdistan for the sake of freedom. He also announced his country's desire to develop economic and trade relations with the Kurdistan Region and to appoint an honorary consul for his country in Erbil.
At the same meeting, President Barzani welcomed the strengthening of relations between the Kurdistan Region and Georgia and hoped that these relations would witness forward steps.
