Masrour Barzani laying the foundation stone for a $ 122 million project in Sulaimaniyah

The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, said that the ninth cabinet implements the promises that it made in its program, day after day, indicating that the government seeks to strengthen the economic structure in the region in all fields.

This came on Sunday, during his speech at the foundation stone laying ceremony for the wheat silos project and the agricultural wheat marketing project in Sulaimaniyah Governorate.

Masrour Barzani said, "I feel very happy to be here to start this great project in this historic place, and this is evidence that the government is implementing its program of work and promises day after day."

"We assure the farmers of Sulaimaniyah province that they will not be confused about how to market their products after today, and this project and others will be a guarantee of food security in the region," he added.

"The agricultural sector is very important and affects all sectors, developing industry and trade and contributing directly or indirectly to securing thousands of job opportunities," the Prime Minister added.
Masrour Barzani thanked the Qiwan group for implementing the project, stressing at the same time that the work will not stop securing the region’s needs, but rather the government will seek to export its products in order to strengthen the national economy.

The project includes building modern silos and wheat stores according to the most advanced international methods so that the stored wheat is used in the production of flour and food with the latest technology.

The project was set up at a cost of $ 122 million.
