Osman Ocalan, a well-known Kurdish politician, and brother of Abdullah Ocalan, the leader of the PKK imprisoned in Turkey, confirmed that this party has damaged the reputation of the Kurds globally and that it is waging proxy wars in favor of some countries.

Ocalan said in a statement to BasNews site: PKK leaders talk about informal relations that connect them with America, and claim that all countries of the world want to establish relations with the party, but in fact, no country wants to deal with the PKK but rather uses the party to temporarily wage proxy wars.

In response to Bayiq’s statements, Osman Ocalan said: America has never wanted to ally with the PKK or deal with it, but rather classify it as a terrorist force.

Ocalan added: Unfortunately, the PKK presented a very ugly model in all parts of Kurdistan and damaged the reputation of the Kurds in the world, and history testifies to PKK executions of its leaders and cadres in Qandil, and for this reason, America classifies this party as a terrorist organization.

Osman Ocalan indicated that the PKK in the places it controls exercises dictatorship and exclusivity, and seeks to establish an armed force in Sulaimaniyah.

Regarding the PKK's anti-Kurdish positions, Ocalan said that the PKK is hostile to the Kurdish flag and Kurdistan's independence by all means, and to this end wages proxy wars on some countries and harms all parts of Kurdistan.
