ARK News… The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that the tragedies of the people of the Afrin region began after the Turkish invasion, accompanied by the armed militias loyal to it, the displacement of its indigenous Kurdish population, and the dispersal of families between several regions inside and outside Syria.

The organization from its sources reported that among these families, the Ali Ham Giro family is from the village of Gurzele Sherawa, which is affiliated with Afrin. Citizen Zaki Ali Ham Giro, 62, who was displaced and forcibly detained in Shahba-Fafin, on Monday, 23/01 /2021, died far from his family (the wife and children) are in the village and his feeling of oppression due to being prevented from returning to his village and joining the family.

The organization also added that his elderly mother, "Zaloukh Rasheed," 80 years old, who is in the village alone in her house, was saddened by her conscience for not being able to attend the funeral of his eldest son. The mother forcibly passed away on Friday 09/04/2021.

The organization continued that after the funeral ceremony ended and about a week had passed, the second son, Yahya Ali Ham Giro, 50 years old, gave his mother's house to a relative from the village to live in, as soon as the members of the Ahrar al-Sham militia who were controlling the village knew, they raided his house, on Sunday, 04/18/2021, and he was severely beaten in front of his only son who was accompanying him, and he heard insulting words, and then kidnapped him, took him to the security headquarters, beat him again, tortured him physically and psychologically, and later released him in a miserable state, and upon his arrival at home, he remained bedridden for three days as a result of beatings, torture, insults, and oppression.

The organization confirmed that, on Wednesday, 21/04/2021, he lost his life with a heart attack as a result of the injustice he had suffered at the hands of the Free Syrian National Army of the Syrian National Coalition the Syrian Interim Government, and their systematic inhuman practices (not individual) contrary to international human rights and human rights norms and covenants against the indigenous Kurdish population.
