The content of the ENKS head's meeting with David Brownstein, the US deputy special envoy to Syria

ARK News… During his meeting with the head of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, David Brownstein stresses America's sponsorship of the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue, and the need for it to continue, because of the impact of the dialogue and its results on the future east of the Euphrates.

Mr. Saud Al-Mulla, the head of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Monday evening, 19/04/2021, met with Mr. David Bronstein, the US Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, and a member of the political staff in the US Consulate, Mr. Mark Redmond, at the US Consulate in Erbil.

During the meeting, the US Deputy Envoy affirmed their sponsorship of the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue and the need for its continuation. This dialogue and its consequences on the future of the east of the Euphrates in general, and confirmed the return of the Roj Peshmerga to their natural place.

The US Deputy Envoy stressed the necessity and importance of expanding the dialogue in the future to include all components of the region.

During the meeting, Mr. Bronstein confirmed the US administration’s vision for a political solution in accordance with International Resolution 2254, stressing the Syrian regime’s lack of seriousness in this process.

For his part, the head of the Council stressed the necessity of dialogue and the seriousness of the Kurdish Council in its success, and its impact on the future of the Kurds in Syria, and praising and emphasizing the presence of the Kurds in the political process. The Kurdish Council demanded from the American side to support the national and political rights of the Kurds in the future of Syria. Mr. Bronstein expressed his country's understanding of the rights of the Kurds in the future of Syria.

The meeting was also attended by Saeed Omar, an official of the National Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria in Kurdistan.
