Statement from the “Peace and Freedom Front”

ARK News… The Peace and Freedom Front held, on Saturday evening, which coincides with the seventeenth of April, an expanded virtual meeting, through the Zoom program, attended by heads and representatives of the components: The Kurdish National Council, the Assyrian Democratic Organization, the Syrian Tomorrow Movement, and the Arab Council in the Jazira and the Euphrates, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jarba, head of the front, to complete the deliberations on the internal organizational affairs in conjunction with the anniversary of the evacuation holiday, as a reminder of what the Syrians accomplished in the middle of the last century, through their solidarity, struggle and hard work, in a unified national spirit, in order to achieve this alien's evacuation, releasing the optimal national course of action, which did not last, unfortunately as a result of the domination of dictatorships and the authoritarian ideological mind who were invested all that great achievement!

During the meeting, internal regulations and the work of the specialized offices were discussed, such as the Office of National Relations, the Office of Foreign Relations, the Information Office, and the Humanitarian Aid Office. The participants also presented, and with a high spirit of responsibility, a set of important and useful opinions and proposals, to discuss the possibility of making some amendments to the internal regulations prepared by the Preparatory Committee, which would develop the mechanisms of work within the Front. On the other hand, the meeting recommended that all efforts should be made to activate the work of the Front’s institutions and to complete the meetings with the Syrian national forces, and the regional and international forces active in the Syrian issue.

The establishment of the Peace and Freedom Front, like a Syrian national nucleus, came in response to a national project that guarantees the rights of all ethnic and religious components whose rights were ignored by previous Syrian constitutions, and racist decisions were exercised against them.

And it is based on the foundations of dialogue, convergence, and harmony between these Syrian components, and it is fit to be a major pillar, and as a starting point, that includes the Syrian national forces who believe in peace, democracy, and coexistence, and the right of the other in all the national space, without exception, after the Syrian regime pursued a policy of hitting the Syrians against each other, in order for it and its seat to survive, even if it was on a sea of blood, not to mention the migration of half of the population inside and outside the country, without forgetting what Syria is now facing, from direct occupations before Foreign powers, without turning an eyelid on the regime, the president preoccupied him with his inaugural elections for another term!

We are confident that the model of dialogue between Syrians, which we establish for its first correct nucleus, in its finest form, and which we hope and hopes for our people, will be a national project that embodies the culture of dialogue that we have been deprived of for many decades so that it will be comprehensive for all Syrian components to emulate, and an umbrella for the various national political forces that converge on the values on which the project was built, for adopting an approach that achieves saving the Syrians from their tragedy that they have been living in for a full decade, and to enrich this formula in a manner befitting the authentic national values and spirit.

Finally, today, on the anniversary of the evacuation, as we remember this glorious past, following in the footsteps of those who preceded us from among the Syrian fighters and militants, we seek to achieve our common goal of reaching Syria and all Syrians, to safety and establishing a culture of belonging to a nation that preserves dignity and rights, so our people paid the price for their freedom. The exorbitant killing, displacement, and dismantling of the societal structure at the hands of the despotic regime. They deserve to be restored to them their dignity after all these surgeries.
