President Barzani Receives US Diplomatic Delegation to Discuss Regional Developments
President Barzani on Sunday received a US diplomatic delegation led by Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, David Brownstein, to discuss the latest developments in Kurdistan, Iraq, Syria, and around the region.
Brownstein once again condemned the recent attacks on Erbil International Airport, reiterating his country’s support for the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region, according to a statement from Barzani Headquarters.
Barzani and the US delegation emphasized the importance of continued joint efforts to combat terrorism and extremism in Iraq and Syria which remains to be the main threat to the people of the two countries.
Concerning the intra-Kurdish dialogue in Syria, the officials hoped that the negotiations will lead to a durable agreement.
