Arresting eleven Syrians at the Iraqi border
ARK News… Kurdish sources, according to the Security Media Cell of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, said that eleven Syrians had been arrested for trying to infiltrate into Iraq.
BasNews website stated, according to the cell’s media statement, that “Through field follow-up and intensification of efforts, and based on accurate intelligence information, a force of the Sixth Commando Brigade of the Sixth Federal Police Division was able to arrest 11 persons holding Syrian nationality during their attempt to infiltrate from Syrian territory into Iraqi territory and cross the borders within the West Nineveh Operations Sector”.
The statement added that "legal measures have been taken against them and investigations are still underway."
