Maruto: There is no increase in the size of US forces and bases in Syria
ARK News… The international coalition forces in Syria announced, according to the spokesman for the Washington-led coalition, Wayne Maruto, that there is no increase in the number of American forces and bases there, in response to reports published by pro-regime media outlets in Syria.
The spokesman said in a tweet of him on Twitter, "There is no increase in the size of the forces nor in the bases," noting that "the mission of the coalition in northeastern Syria has not changed" and that the coalition "is working to achieve the defeat of ISIS."
The spokesman pointed out that “the coalition is conducting security patrols on a regular basis to resupply convoys in the security zone in eastern Syria and support and strengthen the bases”.
