The International Peace Council chooses a Peshmerga officer as a global peace ambassador for 2021
ARK News… The Ministry of Peshmerga of the Kurdistan Regional Government revealed that the International Council for Peace and Defense of Human Rights has chosen a high-ranking officer in the Ministry of Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Regional Government as a global ambassador for peace for the year 2021.
A statement by the Ministry of Peshmerga stated that the International Council for Peace and Defense of Human Rights has chosen Brigadier General Saleh Mawloud Gardi, who is the coordination officer between the Ministry of Peshmerga, the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, and the Presidency of the Kurdistan Regional Government, as an ambassador for peace worldwide for 2021.
The statement added that "after Brigadier General Saleh participated in the International Peace Conference in 2020 and after presenting a paper on racial and religious genocide at the conference, he brought it to the attention of the members supervising the conference."
The statement indicated that afterward he was chosen by the supervisors of the conference to be an international ambassador for peace at the global level, pointing out that "this is a moral and legal gain for the Kurdistan Peshmerga and personally for this officer in the Ministry of Peshmerga."
Brigadier General Saleh Mawloud Gardi was born in 1962 in the Citadel Prison in Erbil, where his family was detained because of their militant positions by the former regime, "noting that he was" a fighter in the ranks of the Peshmerga forces for years serving his people and his homeland. "
