Warships of a Russian fleet leave the port of Tartous towards the Mediterranean

ARK News… A source in the press office of the Russian Northern Fleet revealed that the group of warships belonging to this fleet had left, pointing out that they had completed maintenance work and renewed their supplies, and left the port of Tartous in western Syria.

He added, "A group of ships belonging to the Northern Fleet, led by Colonel Stanislaw Varik, left the Russian Maritime Logistics Center in the Syrian port of Tartous, heading to the Mediterranean Sea."

The large anti-submarine ship Admiral Kolakov, the academic naval tank Pashin, and the Altai rescue tug were subjected, within several days, to replenish their stocks of water and food, and to conduct routine maintenance, while carrying out the usual daily marine activity, according to the source.

The aforementioned Russian naval group will spend some time in the waters of the Mediterranean, then head back to its main station. The large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Kolakov" will complete its long sea voyage at the end of 2020.

And the Russian Naval Military Command of the Black Sea Fleet had previously announced the dispatch of a military ship carrying "Caliber" winged missiles to the Mediterranean Sea to reinforce the Russian naval forces in that region.
