A statement from the Kurdistan Regional Office of the PDK-S regarding the attack on the headquarters of the brotherly Kurdistan Democratic Party in Baghdad

ARK News…. Hundreds of saboteurs belonging to factions affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces, in a very dangerous escalation, stormed the headquarters of the fifth branch of the brotherly Kurdistan Democratic Party on October 17, 2020, and set fire to the headquarters, destroying its contents, and their despicable self-begged them, so they deliberately set fire to the holy Kurdish flag, and the flag of the al-Party, and the pictures of Kurdish symbols that have a special place among the Kurdish people, this heinous act was carried out despite the large deployment of Iraqi security forces near the headquarters at the time of the criminal attack on it.

We in the Kurdistan Regional Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria strongly condemn this terrorist and cowardly act. These criminals, in insulting the flag of Kurdistan, intended to offend all the Kurds.

This cowardly act aimed at torpedoing what was built in Iraq, and striking at the great partnership that binds the Kurds and the rest of the nationalities in Iraq, which was founded mainly by President and Leader Masoud Barzani and is still healing the rift in the Iraqi house.

We call on the Iraqi authorities to put an end to the armed groups that want to sabotage Iraq, and we also demand that these terrorists be brought before fair courts to obtain their punishment.
