Barzani Strongly Condemns Burning of Kurdistan Flag, KDP Office in Baghdad
ARK News… Kurdish prominent leader and the president of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Masoud Barzani has strongly condemned the burning of the Kurdistan flag and his party’s representation office in Baghdad by the supporters of Hashd al-Shaabi.
Calling the attack vandalism and cowardice, Barzani said such actions shall not harm the high values of the people of Kurdistan.
“However, [such actions] clearly demonstrate the retardation, lowbrow, and the mindset of this violent gang,” the Kurdish leader wrote in an official statement.
Barzani also urged the Iraqi federal government to take action and hold the perpetrators accountable for attacking the KDP office and burning the Kurdistan flag.
“Meanwhile, we make it clear that those who attack the KDP and insult the values of the people of Kurdistan, will pay the price for this,” Barzani added.
