Woman Who Tailored First Kurdistan Flag Dies in Mahabad

ARK News… The Kurdish woman who had tailored the first Kurdistan flag in the 1940s died in Iranian Kurdistan.
Fatima Husseini was from a patriotic Kurdish family in Mahabad, where the Republic of Kurdistan was established in 1946.
She has received the title of “Mother of Kurdistan Flag” from the people who value her contribution to the Kurdish cause.
During the short-lived Republic of Kurdistan, Fatima Hussein’s husband served as the minister for posts and telegraphs.
She is buried in her hometown, Mahabad, after a long struggle with health problems.
