ARK News… The "Syria Response Coordinators" documented more than two thousand violations of the ceasefire agreement concluded between Turkey and Russia on the fifth of last March in northwestern Syria.

According to the statement of the “Syrian Response Coordinators: "The regime forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in northwestern Syria, by targeting residential neighborhoods in the villages and towns of Idlib countryside, with the aim of preventing the return of the local population to their areas."

The team counted the violations of the regime and Russia from the ceasefire agreement on the 5th of last March until the 21st of this month, "more than 2793 violations, leaving 29 civilian casualties."

The statement pointed out that the violations included "targeting civilians with Russian warplanes and drones, in addition to targeting 13 vital installations in the region."

The team condemned the continuing violations by the regime and Russia, stressing that they "delayed the return of hundreds of civilians to the area, and even caused a number of families to return to the areas of displacement again."

The statement stressed the need for "the international community not to turn a blind eye to the ongoing hostile actions and violations of the regime and Russia," calling on the international community to "take action to preserve the lives of civilians in the region and stop war crimes."

The "Syria Response Coordinators" emphasized that "the international community and all actors in the Syrian file must realize that the regime and its ally, Russia, will not abide by any international or regional agreement, their demands to implement all international decisions related to Syria."

During their meeting in Moscow, Turkey and Russia announced the ceasefire agreement in Idlib on the fifth of last March, in order to limit the worsening of the humanitarian crisis in the Idlib region, protect civilians there, provide humanitarian aid to those in need without preconditions, and reduce the forcible displacement of civilians. In addition to facilitating the return of displaced persons to their original places of residence, however, the regime has not committed to the agreement since its announcement.
