ARK News: The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government decided, on Monday, to impose a comprehensive curfew throughout the region during the days of Eid Al-Fitr.

The ministry said in a statement bearing the number (35) for the year 2020, that pursuant to the book of the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Regional Government numbered 4714 dated 30 April 2020, and in the interest of health and safety of citizens, it decided «to impose a comprehensive curfew in all governorates of the Kurdistan Region (Erbil, Sulaimaniyah , Duhok, Halabja) and independent administrations (Garamyan and Raparin), for a period of 72 hours from the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, "noting that" anyone who violates the ban will be subject to violation in accordance with Statement No. 19 of 2020. "

The statement pointed out that all groceries, ovens and all places that were excluded from the closure in the past to serve the citizens, are covered by the decision to close for a period of 72 hours from the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, except for the pharmacies on duty.

The decision exempted vehicles from the security forces, health teams, and ambulances from the curfew, and the ministry also pointed to a ban on movement between the region and other Iraqi governorates from May 20 to June 1.
