ARK News.. There are more than 4,340,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the world, and nearly 293,000 have died. More than 1,602,000 people have been cured.

Among the worst affected countries are the United States, Spain, Russia and the United Kingdom. Many countries have begun easing measures to combat Covid-19.

In the United States 147,000 people are expected to fall victim to the virus by August. One of the White House’s leading infectious disease experts, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has warned of “unnecessary suffering and death” if the country is opened too soon.

Great Britain allows today its citizens to go out for sports or walks in public parks. People who live together will now be able to spend time outdoors with their acquaintances, friends or relatives who live at another address. As of today, the construction companies and various sectors of industry start working. Authorities are calling for the least possible use of public transport. The measures are being relaxed only in England, but not yet in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Austria intends to ease part of the border control with Switzerland within a few days, and all border control measures should be lifted by June.

Portugal plans to open hotels and beaches in a month. The country is in dire need of revenue from this sector.

Today EC it must issue guidelines and recommendations to the tourism industry in order to make it clear when and how it will be possible to travel between member states.
