Russian-Turkish joint patrol reaches the outskirts of Ariha for the first time since new ceasefire came into effect
ARK News.. Syrian Observatory said that activists have reported seeing Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol on Aleppo-Latakia international highway (M4).
The Observatory also said that the patrol started from Tarnabeh village and headed to Msibin village and the outskirts of Ariha city. This is the first time for the Russian-Turkish joint patrols to tour such long distance since the recent ceasefire came into effect.
Pointing out that this patrol is also the eighth joint patrol between the Russian and Turkish forces on the M4 highway, since all previous patrols were short.
On May 3, Observatory sources reported that Turkish forces were deployed along Aleppo-Latakia international highway (M4) which passes through Idlib countryside.
